Katie Webster was one of my first web design clients back in 2004. I did a static html 5 page brochure-type site for her. Since then she changed career paths and the site wound up being shelved temporarily until she decided to drag it off the shelf and create her own sites using WordPress and Google's Blogger.
Mind you these were great sites, but they were driving her crazy. By the time she reapproached me in 2010, she was really ready to have me work my magic (I had gotten pretty good by then) in creating something that addressed her website needs, as well as her blogging needs, all in a one-stop-shop.
She's a recipe based food writer (that's the best way I can explain it) and it was hard to work on her site when I was hungry. The site is full of yummy photographs and well-written, often with a splash of twisted humor, and already I have it bookmarked, am receiving a live RSS Feed (for when she posts something new, I get an email with a link) and have already passed it along to friends and family who are food afficionados...
The logo design was created by Chele Longe of Huntington, Vermont - a longtime friend of mine and also a fabulous designer. I love you Chele! In between times of doing Katie's websites, she introduced me to her husband who needed a website, who owns Huntington Homes, in Barre, VT.
Also, read a little about Katie Webster below:
